MIAMI: SpaceX on Monday blasted off a secretive US government satellite, known only as NROL-76, marking the first military launch for the California based aerospace company.

BANGKOK: twenty seven people were injured, some with suspected spinal damage, after an Aeroflot flight on which they were travelling from Moscow to Bangkok hit turbulence.

 

INDIA GIFTS VEHICLES FOR NEPAL POLLS

KATHMANDU: India handed over a number of vehicles to Nepal’s election commission on Monday, following through on prime Minister Narendra Modi’s assurance to assist in the country’s upcoming local elections. Indian ambassador to Nepal Manjeev Singh Puri handed over more than 80 Two wheelers and four wheelers to chief election commissioner Ayodhee Prasad Yadav as logistical support for the May 14 elections. The handover took place 5 days after Modi in a phone conversation with his Nepali counterpart Pushma Kamal Dahal expressed India’s commitment to the smooth conduct of the polls.
